bringing dietpop back to the world of role play. [05 Mar 2008|08:31pm] the concept. Role play offers two types of community: application and first come, first serve. At dietpop, we offer something different. A trial process that allows the new members to prove that they want to offer good characters, good writing, and activity to the community and a voting process that allows the members of the community to participate instead of leaving it up to one or two mods. After all, who knows the community better than the community members? This is what happens: seven diverse members of the community will make up a panel (a number that will grow as the community does). A new character will join the subcommunities, post an introduction, and begin participating in the community. That character has one week to prove themselves in the area of activity, quality of writing, and accurate representation of their character. At the end of the week, members of the community will post their opinions on whether or not the character should be voted in, all of which will be passed onto the panel. The panel votes and their decision will decide who becomes a permanent member. Good, active writers who genuinely want to better the community will be voted in, and those who don't quite make the cut (which may seem harsh, but dietpop has aimed for quality since its birth on GJ three years ago) will be removed from the subcommunities, button, and buddylist and informed of the decision via a comment to your journal. how to join:   Join the subcommunities. They're open membership. Post an introduction in splenda. Update your friends page with the button in the mod journal and download the AIM buddylist.  A good way to get voted into the community is to sign on AIM and to comment journals. Make subcommunity posts, update your journal (a first post is requred to get voted in), be as active as you can be. A lot of people make friends and sometimes storylines during their trial period. It's a great way to decide if you want to be part of DP as well.   Once you're voted in, that's it! You get full member privileges.   Comment this post with your celebrity name, occupation, and AIM name so we can add you to the taken & buddylist. the rules.   An update is required every four weeks, at least two paragraphs with something substantial.   If you're removed, you need to remove the members of the community and the subcommunities from your friends list.   No crossing the IC/OOC lines. Doing so can result in the possible removal from the community.   No silly usernames with excess words, x's, o's, rhymes, or anything else you might come up with.   You must have a first entry to be voted in.
